Dress Code

G. Scotten Talent Center employs a studio-wide dress code for dance classes. Students wear dancewear specific to their division.  We do this to enhance . . .

  • Performance!  We are always seeking performance opportunities for our students.  When an opportunity comes knocking, all of the students will already have a “matching” base outfit that we can build on to create a quick, inexpensive and classy costume.
  • Convenience!  We want parents to be comfortable purchasing a small amount of dancewear and to avoid the burden of buying several outfits for different days of the week.
  • Confidence!  We want students to feel comfortable and confident in their classroom setting.  Having them all wear matching leotards eliminates the possibility  for clothing competitions in the classroom.
  • Fun!  We will have designated FUN days throughout the year when students will be allowed to wear whatever appropriate dancewear they choose.  Scheduled FUN days will be announced in an upcoming newsletter.
