At GSTC, students and parents take pride in our devoted and accomplished staff. GSTC instructors boast a remarkable resume of achievements, and they are true professionals in every sense of the word. Along the way to preparing students for a professional career, our expert and diverse group of teacher/performers provide a stable learning environment and a trusted guiding hand. We conduct our classes appropriate to each age level, with understanding and respect for the child and also for the classroom etiquette that helps make GSTC dancers so unique. No school offers more for your child’s development  – as an artist and as a person of good character – than the tireless teachers and directors at GSTC. And none have more experience or interest in helping them open doors to opportunities young students only dream about.  At GSTC, the dream becomes reality.

JEFFREY BIRD - (Tap, Hip Hop) Jeffrey brings a unique combination of tap training and artistic exploration to GSTC, where he is excited to continue his professional growth as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. As a student, Jeffrey excelled as a competitive dancer and soloist at Dazzle Dance & Cheer in Muncie, where he studied tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical and contemporary styles. He attributes his love, passion and knack for tap dancing to Julie Sizemore and a host of wonderful teachers and choreographers he has had the opportunity to learn from over 10 years. He trained with tap choreographers Cory Finn, Gregg Russell, Ryan Lohoff and Mark Goodman and benefited from classes with tappers Mike Minery, Anthony Morigerato, Anthony Russo and Jason Kalish. With this broad backdrop, Jeffrey developed a personal style that blends the best of everything he learned. As an instructor, he utilizes techniques, combos, warm-ups and steps used by each of his choreographers. As a competitor, Jeffrey won many prestigious awards, including “Mr. Broadway” in the Ticket to Broadway nationals in 2013. He followed with a 2014 TTB Nationals performance that earned him the “Ultimate Top Billing” award in recognition of his overall high-score routine. He was named “Male Icon” three years in a row at HOllywood Connection conventions. He has been honored as “Mr. Energy” (Energy National Dance Competition) and “Male Maximum Velocity Artist” (Velocity Dance Convention). As a Theatre major at Butler University, Jeffrey is confident his years of dance performance will aid his quest to act on Broadway and the big screen. He is thrilled to be a part of the GSTC family.
